Usually, small adenomas of the left adrenal gland are generally unlikely to be misdiagnosed. Small adenomas of the adrenal body can be categorized into functional and nonfunctional adenomas. Functional microadenomas mainly include primary aldosteronism, cortisolism, and pheochromocytoma. Primary aldosteronism can be manifested as a result of hypertension with hypokalemia. Its clinical manifestations are muscle weakness, paralysis, polyuria, and cardiac arrhythmias. As small adrenal adenomas are usually examined by CT, the layer distance of adrenal thin layer CT scan is about 2mm, so adrenal adenomas larger than 2mm can be detected by thin layer CT scan. This shows that small adenomas in the left adrenal gland are generally unlikely to be misdiagnosed. In addition, it is recommended that patients with small adenomas on the left side of the adrenal glands should go to the hospital in time to have the cause of the adenomas clarified and then follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
