How to treat erythema multiforme

Erythema multiforme requires active search and exclusion of the cause and symptomatic management, such as rehydration, anti-allergy, the use of hormones and other symptomatic management methods.
The causes of erythema multiforme include viral infections, drug and autoimmune diseases, rheumatic fever, and light. The treatment of this disease needs to actively search for the cause of the disease and target the cause of the disease.
For mild cases, rehydration fluid and antihistamine (Benadryl) can be given, while for severe cases, glucocorticosteroids (such as Prednisolone aminotriol tablets), immunosuppressant (such as Cyclophosphamide), and IV Gammaglobulin are needed.
The prognosis of the disease is generally good, but severely ill patients have a poorer prognosis and are at risk of death. It is recommended that treatment be actively pursued under the supervision of a physician and that medications be administered as prescribed.
