Hyperdense shadows of lung nodules generally refer to solid nodules. High-density shadows of lung nodules are imaging descriptions and the nodules are of high density. Nodular lesions in the lungs are categorized according to their density and are generally classified as solid nodules, ground glass nodules, etc., whereas nodular hyperdense shadow in the lungs generally refers to solid nodules. Most of the nodules in the lungs are benign, and the possible causes are lung infections, tuberculosis, old lesions, pulmonary nodular disease, etc. In a very small number of patients, malignant tumors of the lungs are also possible. For solid nodules, if the diameter is relatively small, the higher the density of the nodule, the higher the likelihood of benign. If the diameter of the solid nodule is more than 2cm, the possibility of malignant lesions increases significantly. It is recommended that the patient should follow the doctor’s instructions for review, close follow-up, and if necessary, further lung puncture biopsy and other related tests to clarify the diagnosis.
