The causes of gallbladder cancer are not clear at the moment. It is considered that it may be related to gallbladder stones, gallbladder polyps, abnormal flow of biliopancreatic ducts and so on. 1. Gallbladder stones: when gallbladder stones stimulate the gallbladder with chronic inflammation for a long period of time, it may lead to an increased chance of developing gallbladder cancer. 2. Gallbladder polyps: if gallbladder polyps are not controlled and allowed to develop, they may also evolve into gallbladder cancer. 3. Abnormal flow of bile and pancreatic ducts: when there is congenital abnormality in the confluence of pancreatic and bile ducts, pancreatic fluid will be refluxed for a long period of time, in the long run, the mucous membrane of the gallbladder will be damaged, and regeneration will occur after damage, and then cancer may occur if it is repeated over and over again. There may be other causes of gallbladder cancer, such as chronic ulcerative colitis, anomalous gallbladder duct or congenital bile duct dilatation, etc., but the specific causes need to be further studied.
