How mixed echogenic lipomas are treated

Mixed echogenic lipomas that are slow-growing and have no clinical symptoms usually do not require treatment. If the tumor is large, surgical removal may be considered.
Mixed echogenic lipomas are imaging findings that are a cross between cystic and solid changes. Lipomas are common benign soft tissue tumors that generally do not require specific treatment if the patient does not present with clinical symptoms and they are only found during physical examination.
However, if the tumor is large, and the corresponding symptoms appear due to compression of nerves and blood vessels, surgery is needed. Some patients who think that the lipoma affects the aesthetics may also consider surgical treatment, which is lipogranulomatous resection, after which the excised tissues need to be pathologically examined to screen for malignant lesions.
For patients with mixed echogenic lipomas, they should seek medical examination and choose the appropriate treatment according to their individual situation.
