What to do about stiff fingers

Stiff fingers are treated according to different causes. Specific causes include osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, cervical spondylosis and other causes. Treatment methods include physical therapy, medication and surgery.

3. Cervical spondylosis: patients with cervical spondylosis, if serious, may appear nerve compression phenomenon, so fingers can appear stiff symptoms. Hot compresses and physiotherapy on the neck can effectively relax the muscles and relieve the symptoms. In severe cases, surgery of the anterior and posterior cervical spine is needed to solve the nerve compression problem.
Finger stiffness can also be caused by diseases such as adhesion of the joint capsule and tendons in the fingers.
