HPV51 test and reference values

HPV51 test value refers to the result of the test, the reference value is in the normal range, normally it should be negative, it should be below 1Pg/ml.
HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) refers to Human Papilloma Virus, HPV type 51 is a high-risk type of Human Papilloma Virus, this kind of virus, if persistently infected, may also lead to cervical cancer, vulvar cancer and so on in women.
Generally women have regular cervical HPV screening to be able to find out if they are infected. If the HPV51 test value is below 1Pg/ml, this is a negative result, indicating that there is no HPV51 infection. If the test value is above 1, this is a positive result, indicating infection with HPV51.
There is no need to be overly nervous about having a high-risk HPV infection, as roughly 80% of sexually active women have been infected with the virus at one time or another. However, the vast majority will clear the virus through their own immunity, but if the infection is persistent, you need to be vigilant for the development of cervical lesions.
With HPV51 positivity, a cervical TCT (liquid-based cytology) is required. If there is no abnormality in the test, there is usually no need for special treatment, the key is to pay attention to exercise and increase the body’s immunity. If the test is abnormal, you need to do a colposcopy to take a biopsy to determine if you have cervical lesions.
