A pale white tongue should be a pale tongue with white moss. A pale red tongue indicates external symptoms (mainly manifested as respiratory symptoms after feeling external evils) or mild internal injuries, while a pale white tongue indicates deficiency of qi and blood, or yang deficiency.

Specifically, the tongue is gloriously moist, light red tongue color, moderate size, tongue body is soft and flexible; the tongue moss is thin and white and even, the moss is moderately dry and wet, not sticky and not greasy, wipe it off, and there is a root underneath it. Normal tongue image shows that the stomach gas is strong, blood and fluids are abundant, and the functions of internal organs are normal.
A pale tongue with white moss is lighter than the normal tongue color, and the moss scale appears white. White moss is the original color of the tongue, and is the most common moss color. Pale red moist tongue color indicates the beginning of external symptoms, the condition is light or internal injuries and miscellaneous diseases, qi and blood have not been damaged, the condition is still light. Light tongue color indicates deficiency of qi and blood, blood does not glorify the tongue or yang qi is weak and weak to transport blood.
Tongue diagnosis is a part of TCM diagnosis, which still needs to be combined with observation, smelling and cutting. If accompanied by other uncomfortable symptoms, it is recommended to be treated under the guidance of a professional physician, and not blindly self-medication.
