Can families train children to stutter?

Children who stutter can be trained at home under the guidance of a physician, including psychological interventions, articulation exercises and other programs.
1. Psychological intervention
Do not reprimand or scold the child. It is recommended to understand the adverse stimuli to the child from the surrounding environment through communication, so that the child can eliminate the psychological barriers and keep his/her mood relaxed and happy when he/she speaks.
Encourage the child to be brave enough to talk to children, and encourage the child to speak up every time, so that the child can build up confidence in his/her ability to speak well.
2. Pronunciation practice
Have more contact with the child who stutters, talk calmly with the child, neither imply nor mention the problem of stuttering, but patiently teach the child word by word and sentence by sentence with the correct pronunciation method.
Whenever you find your child stuttering, let him speak as if nothing has happened and then correct him patiently.
Consciously cultivate your child’s ability to speak. Adults can tell an interesting story first, and then teach the child to repeat it by imitating the tone and pitch of the adult.
For children who are impatient and have a tendency to express themselves too quickly, it is important to encourage them to speak calmly and clearly.
For children who have already adopted the correct pronunciation method, encourage them to practice it consistently until they form new speech habits.
Special attention should be paid to the fact that after stuttering, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time to see if there is any organic pathology. If the stuttering is only caused by psychosomatic factors, it is recommended to carry out rehabilitation exercises under the guidance of the clinician.
