Mold does not necessarily mean that there is aflatoxin.
Mold, also known as mildew, is a common natural phenomenon that is caused by the reproduction of various microorganisms in the food. The said microorganisms are generally based on various types of fungi, including Aspergillus, Trichoderma, Fusarium, etc. The aflatoxin is a toxin secreted by Aspergillus, which is also a chemical carcinogen that can cause moldy food. Aflatoxin, a toxin secreted by Aspergillus flavus, is also a chemical carcinogen that can cause moldy food, but moldy food does not necessarily mean that it is caused by aflatoxin.
Patients who have mistakenly eaten moldy food are advised to go to the hospital immediately, under the guidance of the doctor for gastric lavage, vomiting or diarrhea treatment to reduce the absorption of toxins, accompanied by symptoms of dehydration should also be rehydration therapy.
Daily life should also do a good job of food preservation, avoid long-term food placed in a more humid environment.
