Polycystic ovary syndrome belongs to the category of obstruction in the abdomen in Chinese medicine, and can be treated with traditional Chinese medicine according to different types of symptoms, the main types of which are Qi stagnation and blood stasis, cold and blood stasis, and so on, and can be treated with Xiangleng Pill and Shaobu Yuyu Tang, and so on.
1. Qi stagnation and blood stasis: hard mass in the lower abdomen, distension or pain in the lower abdomen, irregular menstruation, prolonged menstruation, pain in the abdomen during menstruation, dark tongue, petechiae or ecchymosis on the side, thin white moss, and astringent pulse. May take Xiangling Pill.
2. Cold-congealed blood stasis: hard mass in the lower abdomen, cold pain in the abdomen, prolonged menstruation, scanty menstruation, no warmth in the hands and feet, dark tongue with petechiae, white moss, and stringy pulse. May take Shaobuyu Tang (少腹逐瘀汤).
3. Phlegm-dampness stasis: lumps in the lower abdomen, abdominal distension and fullness, profuse menstrual discharge, dizziness and drowsiness, dark tongue with petechiae, white moss, and slippery pulse. Cang Fu Guiding Phlegm Pill and Gui Zhi Fu Ling Pill can be taken.
4. Qi deficiency and blood stasis: lumps in the lower abdomen, feeling of emptiness in the lower abdomen, heavy menstrual flow, pale red menstrual color, dull tongue, petechiae on the edge of the tongue, thin white moss, and thin astringent pulse. Sijunzi Tang combined with Gui Zhi Fu Ling Wan can be taken.
5. Kidney deficiency with blood stasis: accumulation of lumps in the lower abdomen, late menstruation with more or less volume, purple color of menstruation, nocturia, pale and dark tongue, white moist moss, dull and astringent pulse. Can take Jin Gui Kidney Qi Pill and Gui Zhi Fu Ling Pill.
6. Damp-heat stasis: accumulation of lumps in the lower abdomen, distension of the abdomen, profuse yellowish discharge, heavy menstruation, dark menstruation, blood clots, thick and sticky, irritability, dark red tongue with petechiae on the side, yellowish greasy moss, and slippery pulse. Rhubarb and peony soup can be taken.
