Stage 3a of central lung adenocarcinoma refers to the tumor>5cm with intra-lung lymph node metastasis or the tumor>7cm without lymph node metastasis, which belongs to the middle stage of lung cancer, and most of the patients can’t be cured completely, but they can alleviate the symptoms, improve the quality of life, and prolong the survival period after active treatment.
Patients with central lung adenocarcinoma stage 3a can have the tumor removed by surgery, but lung adenocarcinoma in this period is prone to recurrence after surgery and usually cannot be cured completely.
Patients can also use chemotherapeutic drugs such as pemetrexed, cisplatin and docetaxel to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells and prevent tumor recurrence. Patients can also choose radiotherapy to kill cancer cells after surgery to improve the efficacy. With active treatment, the development of the disease can be slowed down and the survival period can be prolonged.
It is suggested that patients should consult doctors as early as possible, actively cooperate with doctors in treatment, strictly follow the medication prescribed by doctors and have regular follow-up.
