What’s wrong with a low period?

The term “period” generally refers to a woman’s menstrual period. A low menstrual flow may be due to an individual’s physical condition. If there is a significant decrease in menstrual flow, it may be due to bad lifestyle habits, polycystic ovary syndrome, or uterine adhesions.
1. Personal constitution problem: the menstrual flow varies greatly among individuals, so whether the menstrual flow is low or not is mainly a self-comparison, if the flow is always low, it belongs to the constitution problem.
2. Bad life habits: such as mental stress, irregular work and rest, excessive dieting, etc., can affect the female endocrine environment, resulting in hormone secretion disorders, thus leading to low menstrual flow.
3. Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS): It is a complex endocrine and metabolic abnormality disease common among women of childbearing age. Due to the dysfunction of the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis, the ovaries are unable to ovulate for a long period of time, which leads to scanty or even amenorrhea, and it is usually accompanied by infertility, hirsutism, acne, and other symptoms.
4. Uterine adhesions: repeated abortions or uterine operations may cause uterine adhesions, which may also lead to low menstrual flow.
There are many other causes of scanty menstruation, which should be taken seriously. It is recommended to consult a doctor in time to find out the cause of the problem and follow the doctor’s advice for further treatment or therapy.
