Is a yellow colposcopy type 3 cervical cancer?

A yellow coloration of the colposcopic transformation zone type 3 is not necessarily a sign of cervical cancer, and pathologic examination is needed to confirm the diagnosis. Colposcopic transformation zone type 3 means that the squamous-columnar junction area of the cervix cannot be completely exposed under colposcopy, and is only partially visible or completely invisible, and is used to describe the degree of adequacy of colposcopic examination. The yellow color of the cervix under colposcopy refers to the result of the iodine test. Compound iodine solution can stain mature squamous epithelial cells that are rich in glycogen into a brownish brown color, whereas columnar epithelium as well as immature metaplastic epithelium, atypical proliferation epithelium and other abnormal epithelium cannot be stained. Only based on the above examination results can not judge whether it is cervical cancer or not, often need to carry out pathological examination to clarify. It is recommended to consult a doctor in time for standardized diagnosis and treatment.
