Lupus erythematosus generally refers to systemic lupus erythematosus. Patients with mild systemic lupus erythematosus may have skin rashes on the legs and symptoms such as joint muscle swelling and pain.
1. Rash: Mild SLE patients may have discoid erythema, erythema nodosum, reticular erythema, maculopapular rash and other rashes on legs; sometimes petechiae and ecchymosis can also be seen.
2. Joints and muscles swelling and pain: mild SLE patients may have joints and muscles swelling and pain, which may invade the joints of toes and knees, but generally do not cause bone destruction. Patients may also have a significant sense of fatigue.
As the disease progresses, SLE may further involve important organs such as kidneys, heart and brain, which may be life-threatening in severe cases.
It is recommended that SLE patients should go to the rheumatology and immunology department of regular hospitals in time, and follow the doctor’s instructions for standardized diagnosis and treatment.
