Mild superficial gastritis, how to treat it

The causes of mild superficial gastritis include drug factors, dietary factors, Helicobacter pylori infection, etc. The treatment includes general treatment and medication.
1. Drug factors: long-term or large amounts of non-steroidal drugs such as indomethacin, diclofenac sodium, etc., may cause gastric mucosal damage, thereby destroying the protective barrier of the gastric mucosa, which leads to mild superficial gastritis. The patient can follow the doctor’s instructions to stop or change the drug, if necessary, add thioglycollate aluminum gel to protect the gastric mucosa.
2. Dietary factors: such as long-term habitual intake of too cold, too hot, or greasy, spicy food, will cause gastric mucosa congestion and edema, thus causing mild superficial gastritis. Generally, it can be relieved by adjusting the diet structure, focusing on light, easy-to-digest diet and avoiding spicy and stimulating foods, etc. No special treatment is needed.
3. Helicobacter pylori infection: If the disease is caused by Helicobacter pylori infection, it can be eradicated by a four-combination therapy of a proton pump inhibitor, a bismuth agent and two antibiotics. Commonly used proton pump inhibitors are omeprazole, pantoprazole, etc., bismuth agent is bismuth potassium citrate, etc., and antibiotics are amoxicillin, metronidazole, clarithromycin and so on.
With the appearance of the above diseases, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time for early and regular treatment. All the above medications should be used under the guidance of a doctor or pharmacist, avoid self-medication.
