What are the latest treatments for cholangiocellular carcinoma

There are no novel treatments for cholangiocellular carcinoma, and surgery is still the preferred treatment.
Cholangiocellular carcinoma, i.e. cholangiocarcinoma, refers to malignant tumors occurring in the extrahepatic bile ducts, and the cause of the disease has not yet been clarified. Patients with cholangiocarcinoma may present with clinical manifestations such as jaundice, enlarged gallbladder, liver size and abdominal pain. For cholangiocarcinoma, the effect of chemotherapy and radiation therapy is not certain, and surgery is still preferred for the treatment of cholangiocarcinoma.
Surgery includes radical resection of bile duct cancer, extended radical surgery, palliative surgery, etc. If conditions permit, radical resection should be pursued in principle. For different parts of bile duct cancer, the surgical methods are different. For upper cholangiocarcinoma, gallbladder and extrahepatic bile duct should be removed; for middle cholangiocarcinoma, tumor and part of tissues should be removed; for lower cholangiocarcinoma, pancreaticoduodenectomy should be performed.
When cholangiocellular carcinoma is present, it is necessary to actively consult the doctor and follow the doctor’s instructions for reasonable treatment.
