Difference between nephritic edema and nephrotic syndrome edema

The difference between nephritic edema and nephrotic syndrome edema is that the causes of edema are different and the parts of edema are different.
1. Nephritic edema: it is due to the dysfunction of bulbar tube, water and sodium retention, excessive water can not be discharged so as to accumulate in the body of connective tissue laxity, usually manifested as eyelid edema and facial edema, obvious in the morning, and accompanied by hypertension.
2. Edema in nephrotic syndrome: In nephrotic syndrome, plasma osmolality decreases due to hypoproteinemia, and water enters into the interstitial fluid; meanwhile, the activation of renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system due to insufficient effective circulation leads to sodium retention and tissue edema, and the formation of generalized sunken edema.
If the patient has edema, it is recommended to consult a doctor as soon as possible, to clarify the cause of the disease and then follow the doctor’s instructions for standardized treatment.
