Is there a large percentage of people with lung nodules?

Due to the widespread use of high-resolution CT and thin-layer CT, lung nodules are increasingly being detected in a larger proportion of the population.
Currently, high-resolution CT and thin-layer CT can reveal more fine-grained lung structures, and many nodules that were previously undetected can now be detected, resulting in an increasing detection rate of lung nodules in the population. There is no need to be overly concerned when lung nodules are detected on physical examination. Most of the tiny lung nodules are benign and can be left untreated for the time being.
Benign nodules can be followed up according to the size and shape of the nodule, and the duration of the follow-up. If a benign nodule has a tendency to become malignant, it needs to be surgically removed as soon as possible.
