Lice on the head belong to the head lice disease, can follow the doctor’s instructions through the general treatment, medication and other methods to remove.
1. General treatment: the purpose is to remove parasitic lice and eggs on the head, male patients should shave their hair as far as possible and clean the scalp; female patients can use a grate to comb their hair repeatedly, so as to facilitate the lice and eggs on the hair to grate off, and to clean the hair and scalp.
Clothes, hats, bed sheets and other personal items used by head lice patients should be sterilized with detergent or hot water to avoid re-infection.
2. Medication: Patients can follow the doctor’s instructions to use drugs such as tincture of Bacopa monnieri and benzyl benzoate cream to kill lice and eggs. If the itching is serious, camphor ointment can be applied to reduce the itching. If secondary infection, antibiotics can be applied, such as erythromycin ointment, mupirocin cream and so on.
It is recommended that patients with lice on the head go to the hospital in time and actively cooperate with the doctor’s treatment, do not self-medication.
