White slices of concoction with the black Shun tablets slightly the same, but do not add coloring solution, boiled to the heart, peeled off the black-brown skin, longitudinally cut into thin slices of about 3mm, bleached in clear water, steamed through, sun-dried to half a day, with sulfur fumigation and then sun-dried.
Epiphyllum is mainly used for treating death and yang deficiency, cold limbs and weak pulse, impotence, cold vomiting and diarrhea, cold yin oedema, external sensation of yang deficiency, cold and dampness paralysis, uterine cold, and cold pain in the heart and abdomen. For the treatment of profuse sweating and vomiting with diarrhea, yang following yin shedding, or epistaxis (vomiting blood, nosebleed) and collapse with blood shedding and yang loss, Gan Jiang, Cinnamon, Schisandra chinensis can be added on the basis of ginseng and sorghum.
