Chest scar (keloid) removal methods include the application of drugs, laser treatment, surgical excision and so on.
1. Application of drugs: If the patient’s chest trauma, scar hyperplasia above the normal skin, generally can be applied to the treatment of drugs, commonly used drugs such as silicone gel, cumulus cream ointment, etc., applicable to a small area of the scar and formed within half a year, it can soften the hyperplasia of the scars, and adhere to the use of the scar can usually play a role in removing the scar.
2. Laser treatment: If the patient has limited small scars on the chest, laser can be used to remove them, commonly used laser methods such as fractional laser, mainly through laser grinding of the protruding part of the scar, to promote scar repair, collagen rearrangement, higher than the normal skin scars or depressed scars, repair to the same level as the surrounding skin.
3. Surgical excision: If the patient’s chest scar is long, more than a year and the effect of conservative treatment is not good, it can be treated by surgical excision if necessary.
If the patient needs to use medication to treat the scar, it should be used under the guidance of the doctor, do not use medication on your own, so as not to cause adverse consequences.
