Pain in the feet is not always caused by gout, but can also be caused by other conditions. There are many causes of foot pain, such as osteoarthrosis, soft tissue injuries, osteophytes, gout, reactive arthritis, and other conditions. Gout is just one of the many causes of foot pain. If the feet are painful and show signs of redness, swelling and heat, accompanied by elevated blood uric acid, and gouty stones can be found to contain urate crystals under other tests such as polarized light microscopy, gout is usually considered. If the pain in the feet does not meet the above symptoms, it is usually caused by other diseases, and requires further improvement of X-ray and other imaging tests to clarify the condition. It is recommended that patients with foot pain go to the hospital in a timely manner, and follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the treatment, to avoid delaying the condition.
