Ground glass shadow is an imaging description. Ground glass shadow in the lungs is often caused by inflammation of the lungs, but cancerous lesions in the lungs cannot be excluded. 1. Lung infection: Pneumonia caused by viral or bacterial infection is prone to the appearance of ground-glass shadow, and some special fungal infections, such as Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia, can also lead to the appearance of ground-glass shadow. If the infection is caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, anti-tuberculosis treatment such as isoniazid and rifampicin can be used. If it is caused by bacterial infection, antibiotics such as amoxicillin can be used. For Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia, it can be treated with sulfonamides such as cotrimoxazole. 2. Lung cancer: Lung adenocarcinoma mainly grows at the edge of alveoli, so it often shows glassy nodules in CT examination, when the density in glassy nodules is not uniform, it suggests that lung cancer is more likely.
