How long does it take for the body to recover from leukemia discharge

Leukemia patients are often admitted to sterile laminar flow chambers for hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, and it usually takes one to two years for their bodies to gradually recover after discharge from the chambers. Meanwhile, the specific recovery time also needs to be related to individual physique, the occurrence of post-transplantation complications and the course of leukemia.
1. Discharge of leukemia patients generally refers to the hospitalization and discharge of patients after receiving bone marrow transplantation. Since it takes a long time for bone marrow cells to return to normal after transplantation, the recovery period after discharge is long and usually lasts about two years. Meanwhile, the recovery period after discharge also requires timely physical protection and immune enhancement.
2. Depending on the physical condition of leukemia patients and the onset of postoperative complications, the recovery time after discharge is not fixed. If the patient’s own immune function is good and the body’s rejection reaction is mild, the patient can generally recover gradually within 1~2 years. If the rejection from the body transplant is large, it may take 2~3 years to recover.
Leukemia patients should have regular checkups after discharge and medication should be administered under the guidance of a physician.
