What to do about a lump in the thigh root triangle

There are different causes of lumps in the thigh root triangle, the common ones are inguinal lymph node enlargement and abdominal wall hernia, which need to be treated after the cause is clarified.
1. Enlarged lymph nodes: There are many conditions that can cause enlarged lymph nodes in the inguinal area:
(1) In case of urinary system or lower limb infection (including bacteria, fungi, spirochetes), active anti-infection treatment should be carried out.
(2) If it is cancer, commonly testicular cancer, ovarian cancer, lymphoma, surgery should be performed to remove the cancerous tissues and lymphatic cleansing as far as possible with appropriate staging, and according to the results of pathological examination and other results to decide how to carry out subsequent treatment such as radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
2. Hernia of the abdominal wall: according to the classification of the anatomical location of the hernia, the mass in the triangle of the thigh root is likely to be inguinal hernia. If there are no symptoms or mild symptoms, or if the physical condition is not good enough to tolerate surgery, the hernia can be treated conservatively with a hernia immobilization band.
If the mass gradually increases in size or becomes painful, then surgical treatment (including open hernia repair and laparoscopic repair) is needed to strengthen the weak area through patching and suturing to complete the repair.
It is recommended to go to the hospital for a complete examination to determine the cause of the disease and then follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
