Ortho-K refers to corneal reshaping lenses, which are generally difficult to treat myopia, but can be effective in preventing and controlling the progression of myopia. For true myopia, no effective treatment has been found. Pseudomyopia needs to be treated with proper rest and eye drops to dilate the pupils.
There is no effective treatment for true myopia. Often, the development of myopia is prevented and controlled by topical 0.01% atropine eye drops, wearing out-of-focus glasses, keratoplasty lenses and other methods.
Clinical treatment of pseudomyopia usually requires proper rest of the eyes, or topical 0.01% atropine drops, tropicamide drops and other ciliary muscle paralyzing agents to relieve ciliary muscle spasms, and the wearing of keratoplasty lenses is not capable of treating pseudomyopia.
Therefore, keratoplasty is difficult to treat myopia, but can effectively prevent and control the further progression of myopia.
