Efficacy of each herb in Qixiangkang Oral Liquid (气血康口服液)

Qi and Blood Kang Oral Liquid is composed of Pueraria Mirifica, Ginseng, Astragalus and Panax Ginseng. Pueraria Mirifica has the effects of relieving muscle heat (relieving heat from the skin surface), generating body fluid to quench thirst, transmitting rashes, elevating yang to stop diarrhea, invigorating the meridians, and detoxifying alcohol. Ginseng has the effects of tonifying vital energy, restoring normal pulse and preventing deficiency, tonifying the spleen, nourishing the lungs, promoting the production of body fluid and nourishing blood, and calming the mind. Astragalus has the effects of tonifying qi and elevating yang, stopping sweating by consolidating the surface of the muscle, inducing diuresis, promoting blood circulation, promoting stagnation and paralysis, draining pus and toxins from the body, helping to heal sores more quickly and promoting the growth of new flesh. Panax ginseng has the effects of dispersing blood stasis, stopping bleeding, reducing swelling and relieving pain (eliminating swelling and pain). The combination of the four drugs has the effects of benefiting qi and strengthening the spleen, nourishing yin and moistening dryness (nourishing yin essence and clearing away heat and evil spirits), generating fluids and relieving cough, and can be used for treating tiredness and fatigue, shortness of breath and palpitations, deficiency of yin and fluids, and dryness of the mouth and tongue. Adverse effects of Qixuekang Oral Liquid are not clear, and pregnant women should not use it. When taking this drug should not be taken at the same time quinquefolium, wulingzhi, soap pods or their preparations; should not drink tea and eat radish, so as not to affect the efficacy of the drug.
