What functional training is needed for monocular suppression

Monocular inhibitory function training includes masking therapy, medication suppression therapy, visual stimulation therapy and so on. 1. Covering therapy: It is suitable for strabismic amblyopia, refractive amblyopia, and other types of monocular amblyopia. Usually, the dominant eye is covered clinically for at least two hours a day, and it can be covered all day and part of the day. Regular follow-ups are required. The disadvantages are that it affects the appearance, and side effects such as strabismus and masked amblyopia may occur. 2. Suppression therapy: Ciliary muscle paralyzing drugs such as atropine ophthalmic ointment can be chosen to act on the dominant eye, or translucent plastic film can be pasted on the dominant spectacle lenses to force the amblyopic eye to focus on the target. 3. Visual stimulation therapy: it is to improve the visual acuity of the amblyopic eye through normal visual stimulation, which is yet to be further studied. It is recommended to consult a professional doctor for monocular inhibitory function training and make sure to follow up regularly after a period of treatment to observe the efficacy of the treatment.
