Surgical resection is the preferred method for esophageal cancer, i.e., esophageal cancer. Once diagnosed, if there are no contraindications, it is generally recommended to actively undergo surgical treatment. Malignant tumors are mainly treated by surgical resection, radiotherapy and other measures. Surgical resection of early-stage tumors has the best effect, while the prognosis of middle and late-stage patients is poor due to local infiltration or distant metastasis of the tumor, which makes the surgical effect unsatisfactory or the opportunity of surgery has been lost. Radiotherapy or the emerging targeted drug therapy can only prolong the survival time of patients to a certain extent. Surgery is not suitable for all patients, and it is not tolerated by those who are in very poor health, especially those with cardiopulmonary and other vital organ dysfunction. Contraindications to surgery, such as coagulation disorders, need to be ruled out.
