What does rubella look like?

Rubella is an acute infectious disease caused by rubella virus infection. The common main manifestations include fever, rash, and swollen lymph nodes behind the ears and in the neck. The rash of rubella may be a reddish macular rash of 2-3 millimeters in diameter, or a large area of reddened skin or a pinpoint rash.
1. Fever: usually moderate or low grade.
2. Rash: The rash of rubella can be reddish macules with a diameter of 2-3 millimeters, or a large area of reddened skin or acne-like rash. And most of them start on the face, and then spread rapidly to the limbs, trunk, neck and other parts of the body within a day, but the soles of the feet and the palms of the hands usually have no rash.
3. Enlargement of lymph nodes behind the ear and neck: it is mainly due to the immune resistance of the body caused by viral infection, which leads to the enlargement of local lymph nodes.
The majority of patients with rubella have a good prognosis, but if there are complications or congenital rubella syndrome patients may lead to death, so it should be promptly admitted to the hospital for treatment.
