Gonorrhea has mostly no clinical manifestations in early stages in adult women, acute urethritis and other symptoms in early stages in adult men, and early symptoms may vary due to gender. Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease caused by Neisseria gonorrhea. Some adult women have no clinical manifestations in the early stage, and some patients may present with cervicitis, such as redness and swelling of the cervical opening, tenderness, and purulent leukorrhea. Symptoms of gonococcal urethritis, such as frequent and painful urination, may also occur. Adult men may show symptoms of acute urethritis in the early stages, such as redness and itching as well as a burning sensation at the urethral opening, while a small amount of purulent discharge may flow out. When the patient has high-risk behavior worried about infection of gonorrhea, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time for examination and clear diagnosis, so as not to delay the condition.
