Contact bleeding generally refers to vaginal bleeding after gynecological examination or sexual intercourse, for example: occupational disease, inflammation, etc. 1. Occupational diseases: there are many reasons for contact bleeding during breastfeeding, such as cervical polyps and cervical cancer. Cervical polyp is a limited proliferation of glands and mesenchyme in the cervical canal. Cervical polyps are usually single or multiple, red, soft and brittle, and may cause bleeding when touched. Cervical cancer may cause contact bleeding: it often manifests as vaginal bleeding after sex or gynecological examination. Bleeding varies according to the size of cancer foci and invasion of blood vessels in the interstitium, and may cause hemorrhage if large blood vessels are eroded. Generally speaking, bleeding of exogenous type of cancer is early and heavy; bleeding of endogenous type of cancer is late. 2. Inflammation: vaginitis, acute cervicitis, chronic cervicitis and so on. When acute inflammation occurs, it may cause local congestion and edema, and a small amount of bleeding may also occur when touching, mostly with other local symptoms such as abnormal secretion, vulvar itching and discomfort. Women with contact bleeding during breastfeeding, if accompanied by lumbar pain, leukorrhea with odor, stomach pain and other symptoms need to do gynecological examination, including cervical cancer screening tests, such as HPV typing test and cervical liquid-based cytology, gynecological ultrasound, examination of secretions, etc. During the bleeding period, the patient should have more rest, do not exercise strenuously, and avoid sexual intercourse for the time being. Contact bleeding during breastfeeding may also have other causes, it is recommended that women with this symptom should actively consult the doctor, do not self-medication, so as not to delay the condition!
