Anti-Guan pulse in Chinese medicine is a physiological variation of pulse position.
At present, clinical pulse diagnosis is commonly used “inch mouth diagnosis”. The part of the wrist in the inches of the mouth, here for the hand Taiyin lung meridian of the original point, is the pulse of the General Assembly, the internal organs of the physiological and pathological changes can be reflected here.
The inches of the pulse is divided into three parts: inches, guan, and ulna, usually marked by the high bone at the back of the wrist (radial tuberosity), the inner side of which is guan, the front of the guan (wrist side) is inches, and the back of the guan (elbow side) is ulna.
The anti-Guan pulse is a physiologic variant of the pulse position. It refers to the radial artery traveling on the dorsal side of the wrist joint, so the location of the pulse is correspondingly on the back of the inches. It can be seen in both hands at the same time, or in one hand alone.
