Fangfeng Tongsheng Pill and Ginseng Ling Baijiu Pill both contain licorice, Platycodon grandiflorum Chinese medicine, generally not recommended to be taken together, together may have the risk of overdose of drugs.
1. Fangfeng Tongsheng Pill is composed of Fangfeng, rhubarb, mint, gypsum, gardenia, forsythia, ephedra, atractylodes, platycodonopsis, white peony, angelica, licorice and other traditional Chinese medicines. It has the efficacy of relieving exterior and interior cold, clearing heat and removing toxins.
This medicine is used in the treatment of external cold and internal heat, both internal and external cold, malignant cold (fear of cold) and strong heat, headache and dry throat, short and red urine (small amount of urine, dark yellow), constipation, scrofula (mainly refers to the cervical lymph node tuberculosis) at the beginning of scrofula, wind rashes and wet sores and other diseases.
2. Ginseng and Atractylodes Pill is composed of Chinese yam, ginseng, poria, lotus seed, sand nut, fried atractylodes, tangerine root, licorice and so on. It has the effect of tonifying the spleen and stomach and benefiting the lungs and qi, and is clinically used for treating weak spleen and stomach, loose stools with little food, shortness of breath and coughing, and tiredness and fatigue.
