It is a kind of traditional Chinese medicine, clinically used for the treatment of cold and flu, wind-cold and dampness paralysis, head wind and headache.
It is also known as Flying Tiger and Niu Er Grass, which is the whole grass of Asteraceae plant, with pungent and bitter flavor, slightly warm in nature, and has the efficacy of dispelling wind and removing dampness, and clearing the channels and relieving pain. Clinically, it is used for treating cold and flu, headache, wind-cold and dampness paralysis, joint pain, bruises, carbuncle, swollen sores, eczema, snakebite and so on.
It can be decocted and taken internally, and can also be used externally or washed with decoction of water. Its adverse reactions and contraindications are not clear.
