Women can go through menopause at age 56.
Perimenopause is called perimenopause, which is the period from the onset of menstrual disorders to 1 to 2 years after the last menstrual period. Normally, perimenopause is around the age of 45 to 55, but the exact timing can vary individually due to personal constitution. Therefore, a woman may also be in perimenopause at the age of 56.
Perimenopausal patients may experience menstrual disorders, hot flashes and sweats, irritability and anxiety. This is a physiologic phenomenon and usually does not need to be treated. However, patients with more severe symptoms may need to be treated with estrogen supplements, such as estradiol valerate, as prescribed by the doctor.
It is recommended that perimenopausal patients with more serious symptoms go to the hospital in time to improve the relevant examinations, to clarify the cause of the disease, and to follow the doctor’s instructions to carry out targeted treatment, so as to avoid delays in the condition.
