There is no absolute best treatment for gastritis, and it is mostly treated by lifestyle adjustment and medication such as omeprazole, bismuth potassium citrate, amoxicillin and so on. 1. General treatment: patients are advised to pay attention to rest and avoid overwork. Diet should be light and avoid spicy and stimulating food. 2. Drug therapy: there are some differences between individuals, the following drugs are recommended to be used under the guidance of a doctor. Gastric mucosal protectants (e.g. bismuth potassium citrate, aluminum thiosulphate) can protect the gastric mucosa. Proton pump inhibitors (e.g. omeprazole) can inhibit gastric acid secretion. Helicobacter pylori positive patients can be treated with quadruple therapy, i.e. one proton pump inhibitor (e.g. omeprazole) + one bismuth (e.g. bismuth potassium citrate) + two antibiotics (e.g. amoxicillin, metronidazole). Patients with a confirmed diagnosis of gastritis are advised to visit a hospital for prompt treatment.
