Wind-heat colds are usually allowed to eat watermelon.
Wind-heat colds are caused by external wind-heat, and clinical symptoms such as heavy fever, slight wind, headache, sweating, sore throat, cough and sputum, yellow and sticky sputum, nasal congestion, yellow snot, and thirst for drink are common. Treatment of pungent and cool through the surface (with pungent and cool drugs dispersing muscle surface evil), heat detoxification, but should not be dispersed too much, so as not to deplete the fluid.
Watermelon is cold in nature, it has the effect of clearing heat and removing vexation, relieving summer heat and generating fluids, and diuretic, it can be used for thirst and vexation caused by summer heat (irritability and sultriness), short and red urination (small amount of urination, deep yellow color), edema, and mouth sores caused by inflammation of the heart fire.
