Qinpi has the efficacy of clearing away heat and drying dampness, astringent and stopping dysentery, stopping the band and brightening the eyes, while Gentiana Macrophyllae has the efficacy of dispelling wind-dampness, clearing collaterals and relieving pain, reducing deficiency heat, and clearing away dampness-heat, Qinpi and Gentiana Macrophyllae can alleviate the symptom of gout, but it needs to be diagnosed and matched with other medicines for joint treatment.
Gout is a heterogeneous group of diseases caused by impaired purine metabolism in the body, excessive production of uric acid or reduced excretion of uric acid, resulting in increased uric acid concentration in the blood.

2. Gentiana Macrophyllae: It has the efficacy of dispelling wind-dampness, clearing the channels and relieving pain, subduing deficiency heat and clearing dampness-heat, and can be used in the treatment of rheumatism-paralysis pain, stroke, bone vaporization and tidal-heat (a burst of heat, feeling heat coming from the inside of the bone to the outside), and dampness-heat jaundice and other diseases. It can be used for damp-heat gout symptoms.
The adverse reactions of Qinpi and Gentiana have not been clarified. It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to Qinpi and Gentiana, and if the manifestation of gout occurs, the clinician should be consulted and the drug should be used in accordance with the doctor’s instructions.
