Why do you have spots on your face?

Spots on the face may be caused by melasma, freckles, seborrheic keratosis and other diseases such as coffee spots.
1. Melasma: The cause of melasma is still unclear, which may be due to heredity, ultraviolet radiation, changes in the level of sex hormones in the body and so on. Patients will have yellow-brown pigmentation spots on the cheekbones, forehead, nose, upper lip and other parts of the body, and the spots are symmetrically distributed. If the patient has chloasma on the face, it will be manifested as spots on the face.
2. Freckles: Freckles are mainly caused by heredity and sun exposure. Freckles are found on the face, and there will be light brown or dark brown spots on the lesion area of the patient. If patients have freckles, they will have the symptom of post-facial spots.
3. Seborrheic keratosis: the cause of seborrheic keratosis is not clear, and it is considered to be caused by heredity, skin aging, gene mutation and other factors. Generally, patients will have light brown, black round and ovoid patches on the head, face, neck and other parts of the body. Therefore, patients with spots on the face may be seborrheic keratosis.
4. Others: Spots on the face are also considered to be caused by other diseases such as coffee spots and nevus of Ota.
