At present, there is no clear clinical indication of what foods patients with chronic appendicitis should not eat. Chronic appendicitis may be caused by overeating, obstruction of the appendiceal lumen and bacterial invasion. Chronic appendicitis should avoid cold, spicy stimulating food, avoid greasy and indigestible food. Cold, spicy and stimulating foods will make the patient’s intestinal and gastrointestinal peristalsis function abnormally, and when the opening of the appendix is affected by the abnormal intestinal and gastrointestinal function, it will cause the acute attack of chronic appendicitis. Greasy and indigestible food will increase the burden on the stomach and intestines, which will easily cause constipation, leading to inflammation of the appendix and causing acute attacks of chronic appendicitis. It is recommended that patients should go to the hospital for examination when they feel unwell, and treat accordingly under the guidance of the doctor.
