What’s the swelling around the eye bumps?

Bumps at the corners of the eyes accompanied by surrounding swelling may be caused by mosquito bites, blepharitis, blepharocysts and other causes.
1. Mosquito bites: If a patient is bitten by a mosquito in the corner of the eye, a pimple may appear in the corner of the eye, accompanied by swelling around the eye, obvious itching in the affected area, as well as pain and other discomforts.
2. Blepharitis: Blepharitis refers to suppurative inflammation of the eyelid glands. Under the stimulation of inflammation, patients may experience redness and swelling of the eyelids, bumps in the affected area, accompanied by eyelid congestion, itching and other discomforts.
3. Blepharoplast cysts: under normal circumstances, the blepharoplast glands will secrete more oil substances, which play a moisturizing role for the eyes. When the blepharoplast gland discharge ducts are blocked, resulting in the retention of secretions, granulomas may be formed locally on the eyelids, and patients may thus develop eyelid bumps. If the infection is secondary to the infection, the area around the eyelid bumps may be accompanied by blood congestion, swelling and other discomforts.
It is recommended that patients with swelling at the corner of the eye and other discomforts consult a doctor to evaluate their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
