Treatment of scalded hyperplastic scars and bumps

The treatments for scald hyperplasia scars include medication, physical therapy, surgery and so on.
1. Drug treatment: local injection of trimethoprim and fluorouracil can inhibit the proliferation of scars; local injection of bleomycin can inhibit cell proliferation; topical retinoic acid cream can improve the symptoms; local application of Centella asiatica cream, silicone gel and other drugs during the period of scar hyperplasia can also improve the appearance of scars.
2. Physical therapy: For smaller scars, compression therapy, cryotherapy, radiation therapy, laser therapy and other physical methods can be taken to improve the scars.
3. Surgery: If the scar is obvious and affects the appearance or function, and the conservative treatment is ineffective for a long period of time, the proliferated scar tissue can be removed through surgery and then reduced tension suture. However, surgery is an invasive operation, and there is a risk of re-formation of hyperplastic scar, and after the operation, patients should follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the anti-scar treatment.
It is recommended that patients who wish to be treated should go to regular hospitals and use medication under the guidance of specialists, rather than blindly using medication on their own, in order to avoid adverse consequences.
