What to do with itchy hands after grating yams

Itchy hands after planing yam should be treated by rinsing with water and treating with medication.
1. The main reason for itchy hands caused by yam may be that the ingredients contained in yam cause skin allergic reactions. If you find redness, swelling or itching of the skin after contact with yam, you should immediately rinse with cold water to reduce the residue of these ingredients on the skin.
2. You can locally use some astringent, antipruritic, protective effect drugs, such as glycerite lotion, etc. If erythema, pimples, blisters, vesicles and other symptoms will appear in severe cases, you can also use topical hormone ointment drugs, such as eudragit cream or halomethasone cream.
It is recommended to wear gloves when grating yam to minimize skin contact with yam. If you find itchy skin after contact with yam, you should treat it promptly to avoid damaging the health of your skin. Medications should be used as prescribed by your doctor.
