Can you feel the lymph nodes?

In general, the superficial lymph nodes that can be felt are relatively superficial in location, while the deeper lymph nodes of the body cannot be touched. In current clinical practice, for superficial lymph node examination, the lymph nodes of the head and neck (pre-auricular lymph nodes, post-auricular lymph nodes, occipital lymph nodes, submandibular lymph nodes, sub-chin lymph nodes, anterior cervical lymph nodes, posterior cervical lymph nodes, and supraclavicular lymph nodes), the lymph nodes of the upper limbs (axillary lymph nodes, supra-sliding lymph nodes), and the lymph nodes of the lower limbs (inguinal lymph nodes, popliteal lymph nodes) are normally examined. Superficial lymph nodes are soft, smooth, gliding, and non-adhesive to the surrounding tissues in the shape of a ball, with a diameter of about 0.2~0.5cm. When the lymph nodes are enlarged due to various reasons, obviously enlarged lymph nodes can be touched under the skin, and it is necessary to consult a doctor actively, and carry out targeted treatments after clarifying the causes of the disease.
