There are four types of paclitaxel, namely paclitaxel injection, albumin paclitaxel injection, paclitaxel liposome injection, and doxorubicin (docetaxel) injection. 1. Paclitaxel Injection: highly lipophilic and insoluble in water. Premedication is needed to prevent allergic reactions. 2. Albumin Paclitaxel Injection: can safely increase the dose of paclitaxel. It shortens the duration of the drip and does not require pretreatment. 3. Paclitaxel liposome injection: the solvent medium of paclitaxel has been changed to avoid the toxic side effects caused by polyoxyethylene substituted castor oil. 4. Doxorubicin injection: low water solubility, pretreatment is required before use. The only adverse reaction is fluid retention. All four types of paclitaxel need to be used under the guidance of an oncologist.
