Lupus nephritis type 5 or type 4 severe

In general, lupus nephritis type 5 is more serious than type 4. Lupus nephritis pathologic classification type 4 is diffuse lupus nephritis with active or inactive lesions in a diffuse (involvement of glomeruli equal to or greater than 50%) segmental or globular distribution. Intracapillary or extracapillary proliferative lesions may be present, with diffuse subendothelial immune complex deposition, with or without proliferative mesangial lesions. Lupus nephritis type 5 is a membranous lupus nephritis with diffuse thickening of the glomerular basement membrane, with globular or segmental subepithelial immune complex deposits, with or without a mesangial lesion. It may be combined with lupus nephritis type 3 or 4 and may progress to sclerosing lupus nephritis type 6. Relatively speaking, the pathologic changes are more severe than type 4. Patients with lupus nephritis are recommended to go to regular hospitals in time for consultation and standardized treatment under the guidance of doctors.
