Gastroenteritis belongs to the category of “diarrhea” in traditional Chinese medicine, which needs to be diagnosed and treated, and can be categorized into different types of illnesses. Cold and dampness in stomach and intestines: symptoms such as distension and pain in the epigastrium (stomach and abdomen), vomiting, diarrhea, chest and diaphragm stuffiness, etc. Formulas such as Huo Xiang Zheng Qi Oral Liquid can be used in order to dissolve the surface and eliminate the dampness (relieving the evil qi from the external senses and dispelling dampness within the body), and regulate qi and zhong (adjusting the qi of the spleen and stomach, so as to make the functions of the spleen and stomach smooth).
