How to Expand the Ear Developmental Deformity

Developmental deformities of the ear can be treated with auricular correctors and otoplasty.
Congenital deformities of the ear will affect the normal function of the ear and the external image. If the deformity is detected at birth, early intervention can be done by wearing auricular correction devices to assist the normal growth of the ear, and the earlier the better.
Ear deformities can also be treated with otoplasty, which should be performed after the age of 6. This can be done by taking autologous rib cartilage and shaping it into an auricle as a cartilage scaffolding, and expanding the skin behind the ear to cover the cartilage scaffolding, thus shaping the auricle.
In case of deformity in ear development, standardized treatment should be carried out under the guidance of a doctor in order to restore the function and normal shape of the ear.
